Khvanchkara red wine is made from two different grape varieties: Mujuretuli and Aleksandrouli. They are engaged in its cultivation in the Georgian region of Racha, which is considered one of the oldest places where they began to grow grapes and make wine.
Khvanchkara is a semi-sweet red wine. Its taste is rich, velvety. The taste of strawberries and dried fruits is sharply felt. A certain sourness in the aftertaste resembles the taste of red berries (rowan, red currant, raspberry). Experts recognize notes of caramel and pomegranate in the wine.
The aroma of Khvanchkara wine is an exquisite bouquet of blackberries, raspberries, strawberries with subtle notes of roasted almonds. It has a light ruby color that looks very natural. The wine contains 11% alcohol. It contains sugar in the amount of 30-40 grams per liter of product. Titratable acidity (titration - the process of quantitative determination of a substance in a liquid) is 5.5 - 6.5 grams per liter.
This wine is best suited for light desserts. It is quite often used as an accompaniment to soft cheeses. The optimal temperature for serving wine is approximately 12-14 degrees.
