"Bagrationi" is a Georgian company specializing in the production of sparkling wines. The company was founded in 1937, but its history began long before that date. The company got its name from the name of the Georgian prince Ivan Bagration-Mukhuransky, a descendant of the Georgian kings. Back in the middle of the 19th century, he started making sparkling wines in Georgia, using the classic Sharma method, which involves fermenting wines in bottles. The work of the winemaker was appreciated, and soon his products received worldwide recognition, winning in 1882 the Grand Prix at the International Exhibition in St. Petersburg. This date - 1882 - flaunts on the labels of sparkling wine "Bagrationi", perpetuating the beginning of the glorious path of Georgian sparkling wines.
